Let me tell you it was a breeze, easy to mix,easy to apply....and the results !!!

Details

A great way to make your MINI Cooper stand out is to paint the calipers. The G2 brake caliper paint is available in the following high gloss colors: Red, Yellow, Silver, Black and Blue. This two-part paint system does not require caliper removal, but removal before painting is recommended for a professional finish.

The Paint System Set provides sufficient materials to paint 4 brake calipers, or 2 brake calipers and 2 brake drums. However, vehicles with large brake calipers on the front axle and large brake drums on the rear axle may require two Paint System Sets to assure complete coverage. Of course, the MINI only needs one set to do all 4 corners.

The Paint System Sets must be used between 56-70°F ambient temperatures and has a shelf life of 18 months. Higher temperatures will cause paint to harden faster than normal. Once the paint and reactor are mixed, there are only 1-2 hours working time. After that, paint left in the can will harden and will not be useable. Make sure that you are ready to paint once you've mixed the paint. It is ideal to do 2 calipers at a time and mix only half of the paint mix unless you can get all four wheels off the car safely to paint all of them at once. Do not paint the mating surfaces where the road wheels attach to the brake drums. The wheel’s mounting hub diameter should be measured and masked off on the brake drum prior to painting.

The paint requires 2 hours curing time before reinstalling wheels. Do not use the vehicle for 24 hours to allow the paint to fully harden. Plan application accordingly.

Included in the G2 Caliper Paint System: Detailed Instructions, 1 (14 oz.) aerosol can G2 Brake Cleaner Spray, 1 (4 oz.) metal can Brake Caliper Paint, 1 (1 oz.) glass jar Paint System Reactor, 1 stir stick, 1 application brush, 1 color decal.

Additional Materials Needed: Masking tape, small wire brush, clean cotton cloth.

For best results, please follow manufacturers instructions. This kit cannot be shipped via air freight.

Ordered oil change kit for my Mini Cooper. One of the oil containers had leaked throughout the box, soaking everything else, and through the bottom of the box. Made a oily mess. You need to check the caps to make sure they are tight before shipping.

Love your business and your attempt to service MINI owners. One suggestion for you. When you feature a produce on the front of your emails each time, you should explain just exactly what the part is, what it does, and why a MINI owner would want to replace something on their car with it. All of us are not mechanics and might not recognize a picture of a part. As you do the site now, you always put these things in there and the copy is written as though everyone knows exactly what the part is for.

Another idea, what are the types of things that many MINI owners can do with their cars in terms of customization. Your site is so vast and the number of ideas so large, it's hard for the average person to get their arms around what you offer and why we should buy. You write as though we already know what we want when we come to your site. In actuality, many MINI owners who are not car-savvy don't even know what they might be looking for.
