A perfect marriage of music and MINI, the iPod® Interface offers a seamless sonic experience to any motorer who will listen. Technically speaking, it delivers uncompromised sound quality and constant power through a connection in the glovebox that creates a direct link to your MINI’s audio system, giving you and co-pilots even greater control over your music library. Once your iPod® is connected, your audio system becomes a literal extension of the player itself, allowing you to play Master of Music using the multi-function steering wheel or radio controls. Which means you can sort music by playlist, artist, album, genre and podcast, not to mention make any selection from the music library.

The Interface is compatible with any iPod® equipped with a dock connector— including fourth- and fifth-generation models, as well as the iPod Mini and iPod Nano. So just plug. And play. This item requires that the vehicle be programmed by a authorized MINI dealer so the IPOD kit will be recognized by the stereo system. This charge may range from dealer to dealer. Some charge 1/2 hour labor while others charge more. Please contact your local MINI dealer to confirm.


 This Apple iPod installation kit is to add the connect to link your iPod to your factory stereo head unit to play tunes through your system. This allows you to mount the cable through the glove box to connect your iPod. iPod can stay stored in glove box. This will charge and play the iPod. Using your controls on the steering wheel or stereo you will be able to select songs and tracks. Tracks will display titles and names on center display. Not compatible with 6 disc changer installed.

Not for Model year MINIs 2011+ which use the USB interface Y cable for iPod connection.
