Boot Handle Switch Cover Rubber Seal: R56/7/8/9

This is a replacement rubber cover for the boot handle switch on the R56-R59 models. The factory installed thin rubber membrane that covers the release switch on the bottom of the handle is super prone to get dry rot and leave the switch exposed which can cause the switch to fail and also open on it's own. This replacement rubber is a great way to save money but it will require taking apart the factory boot handle and removing the cover in order to get access to the rubber cover. This process will require removing the boot handle and the cover which may take 10-15 minutes.

Notes from a customer about the install:

The most difficult step was removing all the residue from the old cover which required the use a utility knife and dental picks. There were two pieces that came off when the cover was removed. The larger appears to be used to distribute pressure across the cover. The smaller was over the actuator button. The new cover has a bump that reaches the switch without the cover but it requires you to push deeply.
