Out of all of the various "Headlight Lens Restoration" or repair products on the market this has is one of the best. It does require using a handheld drill for best results but it is WELL worth it. By using the fast spinning motion of a drill and the supplied foam pads and various grits of sand paper you can first 'cut through' the dirt, sun damage, oxidization, grime, or yellowed and rough surface on the top 1/64" of a inch of the plastic on the lens. Next, a slightly higher grit (less rough) is used, followed by yet another and than a polish that fine tunes the plastic to be super smooth and clear. This may take 15 or so minutes but it is the only way to truly cut through the sandblast texture and faded yellow part of the lens. Only in VERY rare cases will the yellow or dark part of the lens affect the full thickness of the lens. In that case there is really nothing that can be done but it is very rare. Most lens's are able to be sanded down and polished as described with fantastic results. One kit can do 2 or more headlights depending on the amount of work needed.
